Tulip

A tulip bulb develops best in cold, dry soil and may be dug up, moved, and replanted over several years before it’s ready to flower.

Once the bud develops, it blooms at just the right time and thrives in the light, closing itself to the dark at night.

This got me thinking about the harsh conditions, change and perhaps complete uprooting that us as people experience in our lives.

Much of our growth happens in a place that can feel cold, dry and lonely and can often go unnoticed by those around us - until one day, at just the right time, we emerge from the soil, bud and then bloom!

The great news is that we are never alone, we have a God who is tending that soil and cares for us. We are designed to bloom beautifully and thrive in God’s light.
