Living In God’s Strength

Have you ever felt like you’ve needed to prove yourself to someone? Perhaps explain a misunderstood character trait? Maybe share a new project without wanting to sound boastful?

I have!

I shared with God what had been sitting heavily on my heart recently. I was desperate to feel accepted, understood, and ultimately, loved.

God whispered these words… ‘Your work will speak for itself.’

My soul instantly felt quietened and the pressure to measure up and use words to explain my character, motivations and heart left me.

It has taken many years to hand over my insecurities to God, and I still get caught out, but I have found that when I live my life in His strength and trust His words, I feel at peace in Him. The work I do is for God. That work includes every action, decision and word I speak. It includes every part about every way I live my life.

Coming to God in humility, I choose to live in His strength. Ultimately, all things I do and say will speak for themselves.
